The metaphor word formation is highly referred to the meaning of words, so it is very difficult to distinguish it from other word formations. Researchers doubt about the value to research the metaphor word formation independently. Therefore, the metaphor word formation was put forward early but was always neglected. Recently, by the promotions of cognitive metaphor, the metaphor word formation was concerned by people again.
