2006届中山大学磷士学位论文The 2006届中山大学磷士学位论文 The Investigation and Application of The Prediction and Information System of Water Environment In River Network Based on GIS Qiang Gee Prof．Kaiming Li Abstract The society，economy and culture are well developed in river network areas， however，with the population increase and economy development，the input of industrial and domestie waste water without treatment partial treatment has resulted in the pollution of water body，hence prevents the sustainable development of the environment and economy in cities．The effective management of pol lution sources is the main approach to control contamination and improve water quality in the river network areas．Water environment management via GIS technology in the river network areas was studied in thiS paper based on previous researches，with the emphases the investigation the establishment of hydrologic model and water quality，as well the integrat ion between them and GIS． (i)One—dimensional hydrodynamic mathematical model was established for the rive network by taking the hydrodynamic charaeteristie of tidal into account，and it approved that the river network in Pearl River Delta be well simulated；One～dimensional mathematical model of water quality also established by taking into accOUnt of the fluxion of pollutant with water back and forth．Then the main water quality components such CODMn．NH3一N， BOD5 and DO in Pearl River Delta were predicted weli、 (2)The water environment management information system of river network developed by the using of programming language Visual Basic 6．0 and the GIS develop component MapObjects version 2．0，by which the visual management of water environment information can be obtained，including the operations 2006届中山大学硕士学位论文such 2006届中山大学硕士学位论文 such as the zoom in，zoom out，pan and measure，as wel 1 the save，display， search，count and export of the data related to pollution sources． (3)The basic databases such as the major pollution SOtlrces，the monitoring sections
