PAGE PAGE 1 齊志股份有限公司與德霖技術學院 產學合作研究計畫成果報告 第二外國語字彙學習策略之研究 計畫編號：德研（應英）10514 計畫類別：?研究類　　□服務類 執行期間：民國105年1月6日起至民國 105年10月30日 執行單位：德霖技術學院應用英語系 合作廠商：齊志股份有限公司 計畫主持人：應英系副教授 本成果報告包括以下附件：█結案報告一式二份：10頁█計畫執行相關圖片與說明  中 華 民 國　105 年 　09月10 　日 第二外國語字彙學習策略之研究 研究摘要(500字以內)： 中文摘要 外語辭彙專家強調，刺激語言學習之認知過程可以提升學習者的字彙習得。這個計畫的目的是檢視大學生英文字彙策略之使用及特定字彙學習策略與語言能力之關係。本計畫對台灣大學生進行英文字彙學習策略之研究。本計畫之研究題目 1.台灣大學生最常及最不常使用之英文字彙策略為何? 2.英文程度高相較於英文程度低的學生在英文字彙策略的使用上有什麼差異? 結果顯示:整體而言背誦策略如手抄寫(written repetition)、 口覆誦(verbal repetition)、及一些比較不需深度思考之策略(less cognitively demanding strategies)是學生最常使用之策略。 最不常使用之策略包括如使用學習輔助工具(learning aids)， 群體學習 (social learning) 策略及英英字典(mono-lingual )。 語言能力比較高的學生傾向使用後設認知策略(meta-cognitive)及與前後文相關(context-related)之策略。 語言能力比較低的學生傾向使用機械式(mechanical)策略。 Abstract Lexical researchers have stressed that stimulating the cognitive processes involved in the learning process may enhance or accelerate learners’ vocabulary acquisition. Research on the use of vocabulary learning approaches has shown that the use of certain strategies can have a positive effect on learners’ language performance. The purpose of this research was to provide a vocabulary strategy file of EFL learners and to explore the relationship between certain vocabulary learning strategies and language achievement. Two questions to be specifically addressed in this study are : Do learners use characteristic strategies and adopt distinctive approaches to L2 vocabulary learning? (1) What are the most and least frequently used vocabulary strategies for college students in Taiwan? (2) What are the differences in vocabulary strategy use between proficient and less proficient learners? The results indicated that overall rote memorization strategies and strategies which are less cognitively demanding are most frequently used by these Taiwanese college EFL learners. The least frequently used strategies included those related to study aids, social learning activities, and the use of monolingual dictionaries. More proficient
