Abstract: The natural frequencies and shapes for a long span cable stayed space truss are investigated by using
block Lanczosmethod in this paper. The characteristics of natural frequency can be summarized. F inally, influ
ences of some parameters, such as span, height of tower, rigidity of tower, height of space truss, space bewt een ca
bles, stiffnessof cable and load of roofs, on frequency behavior of the space truss are studied. The results are shown
that natural freguencies of the long span cable stayed space truss are denser and lower. The conclusions have refer
ential values for the application and research of the space truss.
