Unit 12 what did you do last weekend?
Section A(1a__2c) teaching design
1 Analysic of the text:
in this unit ,we will talk about what we did last weekend.student will go on learning the simple past tense and describe what they did in the past.in section A,we will learn new words and patterns by matching the activities with the pictures.students will talk about the activities happened last weenend by asking and answering “what did you do last weekend? I went boating....”at the same time,they can consolidate the target language after the pair work .in the first period,the ability of speaking listening acting will be improved.
2 Teaching goals:

Master the new words: did, went, stay, practice, was, mountain, geography, regular verb, irregular verb, test, what about
Learn to ask and answer:
How was your weekend?
It was great.
What did you / she /he do last weekend?
I / He / She went to the beach.
ability aim
Students will be able to talk about what they did and write them in a diary.
Emotional aim
Student will be able to talk with each other and arrange the weekend reasonablly.
They can make their weekend life colorful,enjoy themselves,enjoy their life.

一般过去时:(1)过去时动词四种规则变化 A. play-played B. die-died C. stop-stopped D. study-studied
不规则变化is, am-was are-were do-did go-went have/has-had sit-sat get-got
4Teaching difficult points
He did his homework. 变成一般疑问句 Did he do his homework?
(2) How was your weekend?
I was very busy last night. 变成一般疑问句 Were you very busy last night?
She often came to help us.

Teaching procedures
Step 1: Warming up
Ask students about what they do on weekends.
Model: T: How is your weekend?
S: It’s great/ terrible, good, OK. / Not bad.
T: What do you usually do on weekends?
S: I usually play soccer / do my homework / clean my room ...
