Unit 9 What does he look like?Reading教案 (主题阅读课) 永吉十三中 王昕 一、教学目标 1.知识目标:能掌握本课重点单词、短语的用法;能用所学知识正确描述人物外貌。 2.能力目标:能通过抓关键词掌握文章重要信息。理解人称代词的用法,正确判断文中人称代词所指代的内容。 3.情感目标:教育学生友好描述别人的外貌;不以貌取人. 二、教学重难点 掌握本课重点单词、短语的用法;学会运用简单的阅读策略。 三、教学过程 Step1 Lead-in 1. Show the learning aims. Ask one student to read them. 2. Talk about two pictures. T:What does the man look like?/ What does the girl look like? S: The man is/has …/The girl is/has… T:What’s the man’s job? /What’s the girl’s job? S: The man is a policeman./The girl is a singer. T: Do you know other jobs?(teacher, driver,doctor…)There are many jobs. This class we will talk about an interesting job? Do you want to know it? Step2 Before Reading 1.Read the new words together. Remember them quickly. 2.2a Complete the chart with words of the opposite meaning. Step3 While Reading Task1 Guessing Guess the main idea of the article. Task2 Fast Reading Read the article quickly and answer the two questions? 1. Who’s the article about? 2. What does he do ? Task3 Listening Listen to the newspaper article. Which picture shows the real criminal? Task4 Careful Reading Read the article carefully and answer the two questions? 1.Do you think Joe Brown’s job is interesting? Do you think it’s difficult? Why? 2.What does the real criminal look like? Task5 Detailed Reading 2c Read the article again and write what the words in bold refer to. Step4 Language Points Explain the language points. Let the students take notes.
