英文摘要Climatological 英文摘要 Climatological and Dynamical Analysis of the Unusual Movement of Tropical Cyclones Made Landfall over South China The Department of Atmospheric Sciences Name：WEI Qing Supervisors：Prof．HE HaiyanProf．LI Weibiao ABSTRACT In this paper，some climatological aspects and dynamical processes associated with the unusual movements of tropical cyclones landed over South China are described and examined using the National Centers for Environmental Prediction-National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCEP-NCAR)reanalysis and the data of tropical cyclone reports．The unusual movements of tropical cyclones(TC)landed over South China are divided into two types，i．e．the movement of simple deflection including the right deflection and the left deflection before or after landfall and the movement of multi-deflection．Statistics show that almost half of the landed TCs underwent deflecting process and the deflecting tracks are more often observed in the months before July or after August．The Number of TCs of right deflection is more than that of TCs of left deflection．Composite analysis shows that synoptic situations associated with different kind of track deflection are distinctly different．Employing a governing equation of tropical cyclone motion，the explicit thermal factors including the local variation of temperature，sensible heat advection and diabatic heating with the pressure and explicit dynamical factors including pressure gradient force， Coriolis force，local variation of relative velocity,system horizontal momentum exchange and frictional force resulting in the unusual movement T| 英文摘要of 英文摘要 of tropical cyclone are quantitatively calculated and analyzed for a selected typical TC case(Kammuri)in 2002．It is showed that five of the forcing terms，i．e．the pressure gradient force，Coriolis force，local variation of relative velocity,horizontal momentum exchange and the frictional force are major factors effecting the movement of Kammuri．The variations or adjustmen
