For many years indirect procurement especially MRO procurement has existed under the shadow of raw material procurement with no attention. There are even no indirect procurement departments for MRO purchasing in many companies today. Of course, the characteristics by nature of MRO are also the root cause of its unimportant position : Lacking of demand plan, thousands of types, different levels of suppliers and low purchasing volume.
