Written in a clear and lively style, the writer describes large amount of common affairs and secular persons in this book, brief but meaningful, with obvious poetic sentiment appearing from words and lines. And all these grew out of ZHANGs love of the secular life, his meditation on life and profound cultural accumulation. In this book, he expressed his personality ideal of free development through the description of marketplace worldling. He proclaimed the life and art outlook of expressing spirit and thought in specific events. He permeated other artistic expressions into his works. With this comprehensive text style and contents, his essays show an artistic taste of internal elegance with a vulgar appearance or elegance among vulgarity. The artistic taste
