Study Study on the Evaluation and Planning System of Urban Waterfront Space in China Abstract In recent years，urban waterfront space，as the carrier of most extremely social-economy and unique attractive environment in the city,is becoming a focus area of planningdesign and the urban construction in the whole world．The development and construction of urban waterfront space not only brings the opportunity for urban society and economy,but also offers the opportunity for urban characteristic styles and image．Today high-speed development of the urban construction，urban waterfront space，、：l，i山its good urban image，pleasant habitant environmentology,enormous economic value，superior construction land，fragile eco—environment，become one of the most sensitive problems in urban planning studies． Urban waterfront space is a special place．Based on the idea of the space and study systematically,the evaluation and planning of urban waterfront space were studied through the methods of combining theory analysis and case study,qualitative analysis and quantitative appraisal，macroscopic analysis and micro—planning etc．In the thesis： (1)According to the define with relevant concepts，the theoretical foundations of urban waterfront space were put forward，which were habitant environmentology, Landscape ecology,Human geography,Landscape Architecture and Arts of design． (2)On the base of the development course and trend of the urban waterfront space，development questions were provided from the development mode，planning designing，managing＆policy decision，implementationconstruction．Then， according to the study of systematical theory,urban waterfront space is an open complicated system，which includes nature，humane and artificial material．And the operation mode of systematic integrated．methodology and the general analysis of fI planning planning procedure are proposed． (3)The evaluation index system was established，which including ten factors and twenty-eight divisors，such as the water cha
