Hebei University of Science and Technology, Shijiazhuang 0500 18, China) Abstract: Followed with United State of America, United Kingdom, Germany and Japan, China is the earlier country to study and apply full mold ( expendable pattern) casting process. Up to now, there are 43 years history since 1965. In the past decade, especially the latest 5 years, the full mold ( expendable pattern) casting process develop quickly and the technology make a large progress in China. Accor ding to rough statistics, the annual output of full mold ( expendable pattern) castings in China is about 648 kt in 2007, in which 86. 5% of the outputs are iron castings, 13. 0% are steel castings, aluminum and copper castings are less than 0. 5% . There are about 200 full mold ( expendable pattern) casting enterpr ises in China, among them, there are 11 plants that the annual output can exceed 10, 000t. both total annual output of castings and the numbers of full mold ( expendable pattern) casting plants are ranked No. 1 in the worl
