摘 摘 要 近年来，Intemet在全球范围内呈爆炸性增长，其主要业务己由传统的文件传送、电 子邮件和远程登录等转向多媒体应用丰富的www。用户数的巨增对带宽要求的提高， 导致Interact上的数据流量持续增加，网络拥挤程度加剧，数据传输延迟不断增大，阻碍了 Intemet的进一步发展。 目前，网络提速和降低网络延迟是Internet的热门技术之一。本文首先系统地介绍了 计算机网络和Intemet(TCP／IP协议)的相关知识，对引起Intemet数据传输延迟的各种因 素作了全面的分析，并对数据传输延迟的各个组成部分给出了大致的估算值。其次分析 了当前解决网络延迟的各种技术，包括各种宽带技术、交换技术、路由技术和在www 中应用广泛的Cache技术。基于这些分析，提出了利用平衡负载降低网络延迟的方法，在 以往的网络设计中，往往只注重于怎样减少服务器的平均响应时间，而～个涉及若干个服 务器的服户请求的延迟是由最慢的服务器的响应时间决定的，为减少延迟，应该尽量使所 有服务器的负载达到平衡。如果服务器的负载基本达到平衡，才能更有效地减小用户等 待时间。 文章的最后对目前解决网络延迟的各种技术给予了较为全面的分析，为用户选择网 络延迟解决方法提供了不同的方案。 关键词： 网络延迟； 服务器； 协议： 代理Caehe ABSTRACTIn ABSTRACT In resent year，Internet has taken on an explosive improvement in the global Scope it has changed from the traditional services such as file transfer， E．mail．telnet to the WWW accompanied with abounding applications of Multi—media．The rapid increase 0f USers and the rising demand for bandwidth have led to constant enhancement of the data quantity on Internet，the heavy traffic of network and the continuous ascent of data— transfer delay，and all the three have postponed the development of Internet- Nowadays，raising the network velocity and reducing the Internet delay are two attractive techniques of Internet(TCP／IP)，analyze the several factors cau sing the network delay and give estimating value of the factors attr ibuting to data—tr ansfer delaY．Secondly，we analyze several current techniques including switching techniques，routing techniques and Cache techniques widely used in WWW．Based on these analyzes．we give a method that balances the load of server in order to reduce the network delay． In the former network design，we always put our emphasis on how to lower the average respond time of all servers，whereas the servcr with the slowest velocity determines the network delay．In order to reduce the delay。we should try to make all of servers to achieve balance．Only if the load of servers is roughly balanced，can th e waitin g tim e of USers be cut down efficiently． In the la
