Therewere 3 elders in MCI group , 89 in usual aged group, 116 in successful aged group. The instruments usedwere the Shanghai Health Survey for El- derly ( S.A. 2002) , which included demographic details , Brief symptom inventory( BSI) , personality index questionnaire, physi- cal disease list, self- efficacy scale( SES) , etc. Related factors among three groupswere compared. Results: There were signifi- cant difference in most items of personality indexes and the total score of BSI among three groups. Factors affecting the mental sta- tus of the elderly with MCI were personality, education, economic and physical conditions. Conclusion:Cognitive impairment of MCI was significantly associatedwith unhealthy personality and mental status, which should be paid more attention to in successful aging research. ey words Mild Cognitive Impairment; Mental health; Risk factors [5] ( mild cognitive
