Warming- up . Show some pictures about some kinds animals and review the words in Section A. Ask a question “What animals do you know?”, then let the students say the words about animals quickly. Show a video about a little dog, and ask a question “What can the little dog do?” and “What do you think of the little dog?”. It can help the students review the phrases about the daily activities, and lead in the new words of this lesson. Step 2: Presentation. Ask the students a question “ Do you have any pets in your home?”, then show my pet to the students and tell them my feeling about my pet: lovely, beautiful, smart… Then show some other pictures of animals and let them think a question “What do you think of the animals? , let the students use some words to describe them. 3. Let Ss read aloud the new words and expressions. Step 3 Work on 1a. 1. Pay attention to the animals in the picture in 1a and ask a student to say the name of each one. 2. Point out the list of eight numbered adjectives below. T: Now please match the adjectives with the animals in the picture. Write the letter of the animal on the line after the adjective. Point out the sample answer. 3. As students work, move around the room offering to answer questions as needed. 4. Correct the answers. Step 4 Work on 1b. 1.
