Teaching procedures:
Step1.Revision and leading—in
Get students to work in pairs to talk about their favorite animals with what ,where and why—sentences.
Step2.Pre-reading.
Talk about the animals in danger.
Step3. While reading
Watch a video and learn about the elephants in Thailand to lead in the new words.
Scan the website article to find the title of it.
Read again to find the topic sentence of each part. Help the students learn about reading strategies.
Read carefully to complete the mind map. Then check the answers.
Practice reading again and answer the questions to learn the key words and understand the article well.
Books closed. Fill in the blanks with the right words.
Practice reading individually and together.
