Knowledge ①Words: hot, cold, cool, warm ②Additional words: spring, summer, autumn,winter. ③Sentence structures: How’s it going? What are you doing? How’s the weather? 2. Ability: Describe the different kinds of weather and different activities in different areas 3. Emotion goal: Through the activities of talking about the weather and things around us, students show their concern for others , the environment and our society. Ⅱ.Important points: Revise and use the words, expressions and sentence structures correctly. Ⅲ.Difficult points: Describe the weather in 4 seasons and people’s activities 听录音,正确写出主要信息。根据实际情况描述当地的天气情况和人们的活动,在具体的语境中能准确熟练地运用重点词汇和句型。 VI. Teaching procedures Step1. Greeting (1分钟) Greeting each other.用一段小视频导入新课。(1分钟) Step 2. Revision: talk about weather by using some pictures: A: How is the weather? B: It’s ... A: What are they doing? B: They are ... Step3. Free talk (2分钟) Ask the Ss to talk about the weather and activities today. Step4. Presentation Step(1).Learn new words. The teacher point to a picture.(6分钟) Say:It’s cold in this picture. Ask:Is it cold here today? (cold板书学习);同样方式学习:cool,warm, dry, hot 1.Point out the numbered list of words, ask the Ss to repeat the words again.Ask Ss to match each word with one of the pictures. 2.出示一副冬天的图画: Ask:Who likes cold weather? when a student raises his or her hand, ask the question: Do you like cold weather? 帮助回答:Yes, I do .No,I dont.(出示与课本相似的五幅图画) Step(2).Pair work. (5分钟) Let Ss ask and answer questions about the five kinds of weather. A: What’s the weather like in picture d?
