IV. TEACHING PROCEDURES:
STEP 1. Motivation
Greet Ss and ask them to greet the teachers.
Praise them: “You are very polite.” Present “polite”.
Ask some Ss to do some actions in polite way, lead them with:
*Can you say “Good morning!” to your classmate please?
*Could you please stand up? Could you please give me a pen?
*Would you mind giving me a pen?
*Would you mind telling me the time?
*Would you mind closing/opening the door/window?
3. Let Ss ask teacher to do some actions in polite way and reply with “No, not at all.” to emphasize the response.
Situations: If it’s very hot here, what would you ask me to do?
If you need a pen, what would you ask me for?

STEP 2. Presentation
Show PPT1 and ask Ss what they will say to the neighbor.
Present the title of this unit: Would you mind turning down the music?
Present sentence: Would you mind doing ? on the BB
(emphasize doing)
Page 52 and present the problems, ask Ss what they will say if they see these problems.
