3. Teaching?Procedures:
I. Warming up and lead-in
Step1:Greetings
Step2: Miss Xu’s last weekend
Teacher shows students some pictures, and Ss guess what did the teacher do on the weekend.
II. Pre-writing
Step1:Fill in the blanks
Teacher gives Ss a passage about her last weekend with some blanks, Ss fill the blanks . Then they check the answer, Ss read ‘‘Miss Xu’s weekend’’ together.
Step2: Bob’s last weekend
Ss finish the exercise at 3a according to the pictures.
Step3: Reorder the sentences
The whole class are divided into 8 groups, every group is given an envelope, four sentences are in it, Ss should reorder the sentences.III. While writing
Step1:Pair work
Ss should talk about the following questions :
How was your last weekend?
What did you do last weekend?
Step 2: Write a passage about your last weekend
One student write at the blackboard, others write on paper.
Step 3: Check the passage
Check the passage at the blackboard;
Ss check their partner’s article.
IV. Post writing
Ss read their passages to the whole class and share their experience.
