Learning aims:
1.To learn to use the key words and imperative sentences(祈使句) to express rules.
2 .To learn by self-study, pair-work and group-work .

五.Learning procedures:
Step I : Leading in and new words:
To use a picture of a mess class to lead in the famous proverb” No rules, no standards (无规矩不以成方圆 ) “ lead in the topic of this unit.
Then use some pictures and the related rules to lead them to learn the new words by guessing and pronouncing ,then practice the words .
Step II: Acting
Ask the students to act ,some brake rules ,some should stop them .
Step III: Listening and practice
Ask them to listen to the tape and try to complete the rules .
Then listen again and decide Step I which rules the students break .
Step IV. Improving
Ask them to observe the pictures and sentences and try to summarize another way of rules subject +can’t+ v
Then practice the structure
Step V: Group-work
Then in groups of 5 to tell a new student of our school rules ,then act before class.
Eg:
A: What are the rules?
B: Don’t eat in class. You can eat in the dining hall or at home.
C: You can’t run in the hallways.
D: Don’t fight with your classmates. We are friends, and…..
E: We can’t….
Step VI: Let’s chant
Teach them to try to chant like this :
rule ,rule
I have too many rules.
eat ,eat
Eat in class. Don’t eat in class.
arrive, arrive
Arrive late for class. Don’t arrive late for class
listen, listen
Listen ……..
And we must follow them.
Step VII: Summary and consolidation
Let them summarize the key points in pairs , then do the exercises to consolidate what we learnt.
Step VIII : Homework
You can choose (选择)one of the follow two tasks.
1.Try to chant the school rules to your family.
2.Try to use “Don’t”, “can”, “ca
