Don’t eat in class! Section A
英语(新目标) Go for it!
Teaching Aims:
语言知识目标:
1. Learn to use the new words: hallway; classroom; fight; dining hall; outside
2. Learn to use the target languages:
Don’t run in the hallways.
Can we eat in school?
We can eat in the dining hall, but we can’t eat in the classrooms.
Can you wear hats in school? Yes, we can. / No, we can’t.
语言技能目标:
1. Listen to understand the listening materials
2. Make up conversations under the target languages
3. Use the target language in real situations, such as competition, listing, sharing, group discussion, etc.
学习策略目标:
1. Learn to find other rules from friends.
2. Learn to use the target languages in practising with friends and try to learn some more.
3. Express own ideas and appreciate others’ as well.
4. Try to ask for help when necessary
文化意识目标:
1. Understand the sameness and differences in different countries’ school rules.
2. Try to know how students in the world face to the school rules.
情感态度目标:
1. Understand and thank for the teachers’ hard work for the students.
2. Give the teachers some friendly suggestions.
3. Show the equality between the students and teachers.
Tasks:
1. 列举式任务:个人列举五项学校规章制度。
2. 解决问题式任务:(1) 四人小组讨论想要打破的规章制度并作汇报。
(2) 通过小组讨论选举出学生眼中的Mr. Don’t或Miss Don’t; 并给老师一些友善的建议。
Teaching Aids:
A set of multi-media system
Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Leading-in
Brainstorming: look at the signs and do a competition
Look at five pictures and help the students use the sentence patterns “Don’t…” or “You can’t …” to give suggestions.
Learn the new words at the same time.
Step 2 School rules
Students list five school rules by himself/herself.
Share the school rules in pairs and write some more while sharing with friends.
Share the school rules in class and write more as well.
Report the school rules.
Discuss in four to find out four rules they would most like to break and tell the reasons.
Step 3 Listening
Predict.
Listen, tick and circle.
Check the answers.
Practise.
Step 4 Who’s Mr./ Mis
