AbstractThe Abstract The public facilities(hospital，fire station and school etc)are ofen essential element of city．The city will normally when their location is selected scientifically．This paper,based the geographic gad’studies the location problem of the public facilities in city．The geographic gdd is of traditional map．It becomes strong analytic tool in the spatial data mining, however,when it is sued by means ofremote sensing and geographical information system． Relevant theories the location problem of public facilities summarized at fast．The advantages and disadvantages ofthe traditional models then analyzed．Finally，a new frame is discussed to build the public facilities location models based geographic grids．It has also been applied in Kunshan City,Jiangsu Province，on discussion to determine the location of new fire-station． The following problems discussed in details： t)The form of traditional location model which is under the geographic grid is discussed．A dynamic demand model based time changing which is under the geographic gad is given．Then，the paper analyzes the differences between traditional methods and the method based the geographic鲥d in the application． 2)The establishing of geographic鲥d system which is about the problem of public facilities location is discussed．It includes the demarcation method，the coding rule and the data structure ofthe geographic鲥d． 3)The paper expatiates the key technology in the practical location。including the shortest path geographic gad，the calculation of road gad and establishing the road-demand mapping table etc． 4)The paper discusses the problem ofselecting reasonable geographic gad scale the location ofpublic facilities． The research results described above have been proved in the problem of newly-built fire station location in the city ofKunshan， Keywords：geographic gad；public facilities；location；GIS Ⅱ 表目录表目录 表目录 表目录 表卜l经典区位理论 ．．2 表2-1公共设施区位的评价指标 8 表2—2公共设施区位选址模型 11 表3一l预定设施点到需求点的最短距离总和 ～21 表3—2实体属性表 ～25 表3—3网格阻
