As an important regionality organization of the area of Southeast of Asia , the Association of Southeast Asian Nations has been keeping the close trade contacts to China since it was established. As one of the member states of Association of Southeast Asian Nations, Vietnam has become the important bridge between our country and the Associations because of its own special geograghical position. In 2003 , the setting-up of ASEAN Free Trade Area makes Guangxi become the joint between China and Asian Nations , and helps the Guangxi win the race opportunity and challenge in the history. And the border trade between Guangxi and Vietnam as the very important part of the trade among the Southeast countries becomes more and more important. Therefore, the study of the Gui-Vietnam border trade since the founding of the People’s Republic of China(P.R.C) ,which has important realistic meaning for strengthening the economic and technological exchange and cooperate between China and Vietnam , for developing the west of China , and for promoting the regional peace and stability. The article uses the relevant theory of international trade, comparative historiography, exchangement of civilization and so on. Meanwhile, I also adopt comparatize analytic approach and quantization analytic approach to study and analysis the trend and character of the border trade.
