Jiangsu Province as one of the important province of the development of Chinas economy, research on low-carbon economy of Jiangsu Province has a good impact on itself and Chinas economy. In this paper, based on the comparative analysis of low-carbon economic development at home and abroad literature review and research methods, First, from the energy consumption, the greenhouse gas emissions, the industrial structure, the ecological environment four aspects analysis the Jiangsu Province low-carbon economy development the basic situation, and further points out the Jiangsu Province low-carbon economy development existence the question. Second, the establishment of Jiangsu Province, the level of development of a low-carbon economy evaluation index system, calculated, Jiangsu Province and around the city from 2005 to 2010the carbon level of economic development index (LCI), cluster analysis, and around the City of LCI get three low-carbon region: relatively high carbon area, relatively in carbon area and relatively low carbon zone, then the integrated use of the logarithmic mean Di shi index (LMDI), respectively, Jiangsu Province in general and low-carbon region factor decomposition to identify the main factors for the development of low-carbon economy. Finally, in view of the results of the evaluation, the paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to enhance the development of low-carbon economy in Jiangsu Province, and summarizes the research findings, a follow-up to be perfect and improved direction.
