He is proficient in painting, poetry, sculpture and some other arts. The paper will mainly explore his “ink portrait” through detailed analysis of his portraits so as to make out the context of ink portrait art of Jiang Zhaohe, including the influence of his growing experiences on the art of painting career as well as the inspiration of his portrait figure painting to modern ink portrait. The paper focuses on the analysis of the form of language of the ink portraits and expounds the beauty of works of art, meticulous model and artful composition in detail that Jiang Zhaohe exhibits in his ink portraits through the detailed analysis of these elements. Then the paper further discusses the unique artistic ideas of ink portrait of Jiang Zhaohe which are different from traditional portrait art in the following aspects: focusing on the form, focusing on romantic charm and focusing on the ideas of artist. Finally, the paper will focus on the analysis of his transformation in ink portrait art and show its influence and inspiration to modern ink portraits. The paper adapts the methods of gathering information and reading literature and analyzes the ink portraits of Jiang Zhaohe completely and comprehensively so as to enrich the understanding of people towards the ink portrait art of Jiang Zhaohe and reveal the ideas which are hidden behind the works of ink portraits.
