Ebola viruses have represented a major public health threat in equatorial Africa. The intelligence of Ebola viruses, including classifi cation, transmission, pathogenic mechanisms, risk factors, epidemiology, diagnosis, treatment, current new drugs pipeline and targets for therapeutic intervention, has been reviewed in this paper.
