Clinical Research on the Evaluation Criteria of Computer Evaluation System in Acupuncture Treatment of Peripheral Facial Paralysis Author: Wu Hao Admission Date: 2009.9 Major: Acupuncture Tutor: Liu Li’an Abstract Objective: Preliminarily formulate evaluation criteria of computer evaluation system, based on 472 facial paralysis patients’ global scores and regional scores according to H-B rating scale and computer evaluation system. Methods: Analyze the results of computer evaluation system and traditional assessment system of 472 Facial Paralysis patients at the same time (before and after acupuncture treatment) by SPSS17.0 software package, to relate the scores of computer evaluation system to the correlative scores of traditional assessment system, then to formulate evaluation criteria of computer evaluation system. Results: There are obvious negative correlations and simple linear regressions between computer evaluation system and traditional assessment system, both before and after treatment. The assessment criteria of traditional assessment system are Clinical Cured, Markedly Effective, Effective and Ineffective, which are correspondingly related to the scores of computer evaluation system as below: 100~86 points, 85~77 points, 76~52 points and under 52 points. Conclusion: As a simple, more accurate and repeatable evaluation method, the formulated evaluation criteria of computer evaluation system can be applied to the clinical practice and research.
