Students’ reading level It’s the first time for students of Grade 8 to get in touch with Chinese Traditional book Journey to the West. Most of the students may feel excited about the legend .??Interest is the best teacher, but students don’t have any skills to deal with the reading. Teacher should lead the students to finish the reading tasks. Reading strategy Students will be able to apply the reading strategy—skimming to find the main idea without reading every word.. Students will be able to get general idea or specific information by using reading skills like skimming, scanning, and careful reading. Students will have a logicality training about reading. Teaching aims I.Knowledge objects: 1.Students will be able to understand and use the following key words and phrases: turn...into, object, hide, tail, magic, stick, excite, Western,came, be interested in, be able to,etc. 2.Students are expected to learn some knowledge about Monkey King. II.Ability objects: 1. Students are expected to improve the abilities of telling a story. 2.
