Step1
1.After students`3-minute presentation, the teacher leads in the topic-the Best place.
2.The teacher asks two questions to make students familiar with today’s topic
①what’s your favorite place?
②Why is it the best place to go to?
Students try to think about more places and more adjective words to describe their favorite places.
Arouse students’ interest in the topic.
Step 2
Pre- writing
1)presentation
The teacher guides the whole class to make the mind map after reading sample 1 on the P.31.
sentence practice
The teacher shows sample 2, which is a short passage with 4 mistakes and is in a wrong order, so the teacher designs 4 tasks:
Give the passage a correct order.
Find the mistakes and then correct them ( they are the common mistakes that students make easily.)
Expand the body part.
Help students find out good sentences in both sample 1 and sample 2.
students form a mind- map in their mind, which is good for their writing three parts: beginning, body, and ending.
Students realize what they should pay attention to while they are writing, such as frame, mistakes and beautiful sentences.
This step aims to provide some writing skills to improve students’ writing, like expanding sentences, correcting sentences, giving a correct order.
