学情分析:
The students in Grade Eight have rich imagination . Their imagination makes it possible for them to use If- condition clause fluently and correctly. And the content of this lesson is close to their life experience. So I’m sure they’ll be interested in this lesson and take an active part in different activities.
教学重点:
1 Understand and use “ advice” .
2 Use If- condition clause correctly.
教学难点:
Understand the tense of If – condition clause
教学过程:
Step 1 Warm up
Show them a robot and ask them :1 Do you want to have a robot? 2 What will you let it do if you have a robot? They can answer this question freely.
Step 2 Revision
Review what they have learned in last lesson by translating a few sentences in Grammar Focus.
Step 3 Grammar summary
Analyse the tense of If – condition clause,and give more examples to help the students to understand.
含if条件状语从句的主从复合句:
if 条件状语从句中,主句用一般将来时,从句用___________表示将来。我们可以总结为 ________原则。
例如:We will go to the park if it _______ ______ (rain) tomorrow.
2. if 条件状语从句中,如果主句有must,can,may 等情态动词为一般现在时态时,从句依然用__________ 我们可以总结为__________原则。
例如:You must stop if the traffic light ____ (be) red.
3.if 条件状语从句中,主句是祈使句从句也用____________表示将来。我们可以总结为_________原则。
例如:Don’ t wait for me if I _____ (be) late.
