Implement Multimedia Function Base on ULC Platform ABSTRACT In this paper, focus on the researching of ULC solution which produced by Infineon for ultra-low-end mobile phones. Show the analysis of how to achieve the realization of multimedia features by increasing assisted processing chip. The paper introduces the combining way of mixed-signal audio processing chip VC0968 which produced by Vimicro for mobile communications market and the low-end mobile phone ULC platform. Therefore, it will not only meet the market demand for multi-function of low-end mobile phones, but also can make companies more profitable. Compared with the one witch directly use mobile phones chips with multimedia processing capabilities, the result shows that when using mixed-signal audio processing chip VC0968 to achieve a variety of audio file playback, recording and other multimedia capabilities. It can not only achieve the same multimedia effects like normal multimedia player, but also greatly reduces the cost of handset manufacturers. And thus optimize the production chain, In order to promote the enterprise to a higher and deeper level. In the whole task of developing multi-media system, my main task is to develop the matching software with multimedia functions base on the project’s functional requirements. Including the analysis of software architecture in the multimedia system and design of various functional block diagrams that required to build for multimedia features. From the initial outline design to detailed design and the final codes for implementation, and make detailed test for various modules and the system to ensure that the final prototype is well develop. Also assisted during the period about participated in the design of multimedia systems-driven, learning hardware processing, such as PCB circuit board wiring diagram and so on.
