Chemical composition andm icrostructure of the furnace tubewere analyzed bymeans of opticalm icroscopy and scanning electronm icroscopy ( SEM). The results show the fur- nace tube is plastic explosive disruption. After part of the furnace tube enduring high temperature in long tmi e, degeneration of thema- terialproperty and concentration of plastic deformation occurredwhich were resulted in explosion failure.
