Knowledge propagation is a social activities process, that part of social members who in particular social environment, by means of specific methods, to transmit specific information for other social members, and to look forward to receiving the expected effect of propagation. The work of knowledge value lies in the effective and extensive dissemination within the scope of whole society. Non-abrasive, shareable and unlimited value-added are properties of knowledge, but it may be forgotten in anytime. In fact, forgetfulness is an asymptotic process and its level mainly depends on quantity of around individuals who have knowledge, which is a special mechanism of knowledge propagation. In this paper, we will establish a kind of general model with forgetful level for knowledge propagation in complex networks based on SIS epidemic model, and we analyze the dynamic behavior of model, also the propagation threshold R0 is given. Under this threshold, knowledge can be continued to propagate and the quantity of crowd who have knowledge will be increased when R0 ??1 . In contrast, it will completely extinct. In addition, simulations also suggest the knowledge propagation velocity can be accelerated when better culture atmosphere is existed, though propagation threshold is unchanged.
