i i 基于选择的语篇翻译 ——《柳林风声》汉译本对比分析 摘 要 选择这一古老而又新兴的概念贯穿翻译过程始终。由于源语和译入语之间的 种种差异，导致选择过程中充满模糊性和不确定性，给译者的理解与表达带来诸 多困难。耶夫·维索尔伦的顺应论为解决这一难题提供了重要理论依据。 耶夫·维索尔伦在其著作《语用学新解》中提出顺应论，认为语言的使用是 一个不断做出选择的过程，选择的目的是达到对交际双方的顺应。翻译作为一种 特殊的交际活动，也可从这一角度出发进行研究。本文探索性地将这一理论引入 语篇翻译研究中，选取杨静远和任溶溶所译《柳林风声》为例，从语音、词汇、 句法三个微观层面分析翻译过程中的选择现象，并归纳出以顺应为目标的翻译过 程，目的在于为语篇翻译研究开辟一个新视角，同时为翻译实践提供一定的帮助。 本文首先对语篇翻译的概念进行了简要概述，并借助维索尔伦的顺应论对语 篇翻译进行研究。文章重点介绍了“选择”这一概念及选择发生的原因，并简要 介绍了国内以顺应论为基础的翻译研究，从而指出本文较之以前的研究做出的补 充及创新。接着，根据顺应论的基本观点，本文大胆地从两方面初步探讨了翻译 的性质，将翻译视为一种交际活动和选择过程。正因如此，以维索尔伦的顺应论 为基础进行翻译研究具有一定的可行性和重要指导意义。 接下来本文简要分析了影响译者选择的三个微观因素，即英汉两种语言之间 在语音、词汇和句法层面存在的差异，正是这些差异促使译者在一定范围内做出 选择。之后本文进入实证研究部分，采用对比研究的方法对语篇翻译中的选择现 象进行分析。 对译例分析的研究和总结是本文最具价值的部分。本文以杨译和任译《柳林 风声》为例，从语音、词汇和句法层面分析了译者的选择，并最终初步探索出了 以顺应为目的的翻译过程，以期能对翻译理论与实践有所贡献。 关键词：选择；顺应；微观层面；翻译过程 ii ii Selection-based Textual Translation — A Comparative Analysis of Chinese Versions of The Wind in the Willows Abstract As an ancient yet emerging concept, selection lurks in the process of translation. However, due to the differences between source language and target language, the process of selection is full of ambiguities and uncertainties which bring numerous difficulties to the translator’s understanding and expression. Jef Verschueren’s adaptation theory offers significant theoretical foundation to meet the challenge. Jef Verschueren proposed adaptation theory in his book Understanding Pragmatics which assumes that language use is a continuous making of choices aiming at adapting to communicative parties. As a special type of communication, translation can be approached in the similar vein. This thesis applies adaptation theory to the study of textual translation with Yang Jingyuan’s and Ren Rongrong’s versions of The Wind in the Willows as cases, analyzes selection process in translating at three micro levels: phonetic level, lexical level and syntactic level.
