ABSTRACT Chinas high speed railway is growing rapidly. According to 2013-2017 Chinas high-speed rail industry research and investment strategic planning analysis report, by the end of 2010, Chinas railway mileage reached 91000 kilometers, ranking second in the world. High speed railway mileage ran up to 8358 km, ranking first in the world. To 2012, high-speed rail opened a total of 13000 kilometers above. With the rapid development of high-speed railway, rail transportation hub is playing a more and more important role. Since the stream of people are gather in rail transportation hub, urbanization makes rail transportation hub given to commercial, office, entertainment and other features besides its basic transfer function. Rail transportation hub is becoming a complex building body having a complex environment. If the need of pedestrian is satisfied in this complex building body, they must to find how to go to the place they want to go to. Therefore, the design of the pedestrian guidance signs in rail transportation hub plays a very important role. In this paper, research object is the pedestrian guidance signs of rail transport hub, which synthetically applies literature study, empirical research method, research analysis, contrast study and math optimizer. Firstly, definition and classification of pedestrian guidance signs is carried on and construction nodes of rail transportation hub is analyzed. Then combining the classification of pedestrian guidance signs and the construction nodes of rail transportation hub, pedestrian guidance signs are divided into four grades: Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ. And also, the layout of pedestrian guidance signs according to four grades at each specific construction nodes of rail transportation hub comes into question. Focus on using math optimizer modeling, the paper gives a quantitative research on method of pedestrian guidance signs setting in rail transport hub, using AHP to determine the strength coefficient of destinations, and
