[Abstract] Objective:T o inv e tigate M R imaging feature of upratentorial pilocy tic a tr ocy to ma in adult .Methods:M R ima- g ing data of 16 upratentorial pilo cytic a tro cy toma pr oved by patholo gy in adult were retro pectiv ely analy ed.Results:Of 16 ca e , 14 w ere ingle, 2 w ere multiple.Sev en ma e were located at the uperficial po itio n of brain a ociated w ith clo e cra- nial bo ne compre ed and thinned.T he ma pre ented w ith cy tic and olid parenchy ma, ovo id, clear border and no peritumor- al edema.T hey howed hypo-inten ity ignal o n T 1 weighted image and hetero geneou hy per-inten ity on T 2 w eighted image. Af ter enhancement, the parenchy ma of the ma howed multiple cy clic enhancement or irregular enhancement with and w ith- out cy tic wall enhancement.Conclusion:M RI finding of upr atentorial pilocy tic a tro cy toma in adult had o me characteri - tic .M RI may provide diag no i and direct clinical treatment for upr atentorial pilocy tic a t rocy toma in adult .
