PAGE PAGE IV PAGE PAGE III A STUDY ON STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT OF GUANGXI YUCHAI HEAVEY INDUSTRY COMPANY ABSTRACT There is a saying goes like this: “A three-year development dependence on opportunities whiles a ten-year development on strategy.” In order to seek long-term business development, an enterprise must attach great importance to its strategic management. To make and carry out strategic management is not only conducive to the sustainable development of an enterprise, but also conducive to the sustainable development of the industry, while at the same time it fully embodies the entrepreneurs’ responsible attitude to business and industry. Guangxi Yuchai Heavy Industry Company, as one of the two chains of Yuchai Group strategic planning, has achieved good development in the past 20 years. However, there are still some deficiencies, such as its business model, development planning, financing, risk management abilities etc, which to some extent restrict the further development of the company. Currently, how to make full use of its own internal strengths and external opportunities while at the same time as possible to avoid the disadvantages of internal and external risks, and how to better position the company’s direction, plan a business development strategy and develop a series of practical strategic measures, play important roles in the future development of the company. This paper, based on the theory of strategic management, firstly, analyses the macroeconomic environment of Yuchai Heavy Industry Company by PEST and at the same time it analyses the competitive environment by Porter’s five forces analysis model. Secondly, it makes a brief analysis of the internal capacity of Yuchai Heavy Industry Company by internal capability analysis theory.
