The cold cracking sensibility coefficient w as calculated by theoretical formula, and the low est preheat temperature w as obtained to avoid cold crack by experimental results. T he study offered experimental and theoretical foundation to high tensile pipeline-steels construction and w elding process, also offered reference to standard experimental method evaluating cold crack of high tensile pipeline-steel.
