Center of Molecular Ins ection of Medicine, Zhongshan University, Guangzhou 51008 , China) Abstract:Japanese sea bass ( Lateolabrax j a onicus) were fed by six diets for 8 weeks to study the effects of different diets on the growth, nutrient composition, fatty acids composition and serum biochemistry indexes of fishes. Five formulated diets all contained about . 7 % lipid content with different lipid sources: fish oil, mixture of fish oil and corn oil ( 1. 341) , mixture of fish oil and soybean oil ( 1. 341) , the rest two formulated - 1 - 1 diets contained fish oil and more choline ( 100gkg ) and carnitine ( 350mgkg ) added respectively. Iced trash fish (Saurida tumbil) were used as control diet.
