内容摘要 本文是一篇针对法律英语翻译中词性转换的翻译报告。词性转换作为基本的翻译技 巧，无论在英译汉还是汉译英中都很常见。因此，在法律英语翻译实践中，词性转换运 用的好坏可能会直接影响整个译文的质量，进而影响读者对原文的理解。因此，笔者在 翻译各种法律文本时，经常使用词性转换。在本翻译报告中，笔者就以翻译的加拿大《破 产法》（1985）为例，探讨法律英语文本中词性转换这一技巧的使用。 首先，笔者介绍了词性转换的定义。其次，笔者简要分析了在翻译一般文本过程中 词性转换的运用,以此来进一步分析词性转换在法律文本翻译中的使用。再次，笔者探 讨加拿大《破产法》翻译过程中词性转换的运用，具体探讨动词转换成名词、副词转换 成名词、名词转换成动词、形容词转换成动词、介词转换成动词、形容词转换成副词等 转换技巧。最后，笔者对翻译实践中的经验和教训进行总结。 关键词：词性转换；《破产法》；转换技巧 Abstract This is a translation report on the word-class conversion. The word-class conversion is the basic conversion technique, which is widely used in both Chinese-English and English-Chinese translation. The application of the word-class conversion, to a large extent, may determine the quality of the translation. Therefore, in the process of translating all kinds of legal documents, the author frequently uses the word-class conversion in translating these legal documents. In this translation report, the author explores the application of the word-class conversion in the translation of Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act of Canada. Firstly, the author introduces the definition of the word-class conversion and and analyzes the general conversion skills in the process of translation. Then, the author explores the application of word-class conversion in translating the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act of Canada. That is how to convert verb into noun, how to convert adverb into noun, how to convert noun into verb, how to convert adjective into verb, how to convert preposition into verb, how to convert adjective into adverb. Finally, lessons and experience learned from this translation are discussed.
