华中科技大学硕士学位论文 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 II II Abstract People spend more than eighty percent of their time indoor house. So the relation between indoor air quality (IAQ) and human health is important. Volatile organic compounds exist widely in the indoor environment. Some volatile organic compounds are toxic and carcinogenic to human health. The pollution of volatile organic compounds is quite common. This phenomenons interest a lot of scientists in interrelated fields. In this thesis, we first use the electrolytic formation sodium ferrate(VI) and then research the feasibility to use it for volatile organic compounds and toluene remove. For that we design and manufacture a suit of ferrate formation equipment and air disposal equipment.Then combine pulsed discharge plasma and sodium ferrate(VI) to remove toluene. At the same time, we compare the efficiencies of the single air treatment device to the combination of two similar devices. Finally analyze the application of this noval method in future. The results of the experiment shown: Volatile organic compounds removal efficiency by sodium ferrate(VI). The indoor air quality can satisfy the demands of national standand after treatment. The removal efficiency of toluene by combine plused discharge plasma and sodium ferrate(VI) is efficient too. The maximum removal percentage is about 98%. The removal efficiency of toluene by single sodium ferrate(VI) is around 40%. Air velocity influenced the removal efficiency. The removal efficiency increase whith the combination of two sodium ferrate(VI) treatment decives. It can reach 70%. The removal efficiences of sodium ferrate (VI) were detemined by velocity of flow、the concentration of sodium ferrate (VI)、the concentration of volatile organic compounds and the reaction time.
