How to follow the principle of architectural aesthetics is restricted by specific technology and economic conditions, etc. This article also analyzes the current condition and future tendency of interior design development, which will help to comprehend the features of interior design and grasp the main point of design. Keywords: interior design; requirements; characteristic Interior design has been developing as a subject for more than 20 years in higher education field in our country, thus a relatively mature educational conception has been formed; and people also have a brand-new understanding of interior design that changes from past “focusing on decoration more than adornment” to the current “focusing on adornment more than decoration”. The development trend of interior design is to put emphasis on reflecting figure beauty and artistic decoration beauty. The indoor interfacial size, shape, stripe, pattern, color theme and the material texture and so on have increasingly become the major factors that impacting people’s indoor mental environment.
