摘 要 Abstract Wireless sensor network(WSN) integrates sensors ,micro-electro-mechanical sys­ tems and wireless network communication.It has been widely concerned in academia and industry for its enormous prospects .The problems of energy consumption and cost restrict the development and large scale application of wireless sensor networks.Then,IR- UWB(Impulse Radio Ultra Wide-Band) wireless technology has advantages of high range precision ,low probability intercept and anti-multipath interference,as well as low power,low cost and many others .These advantages combine UWB wireless trans­ mission technologies with wireless sensor network natively. Other researches are based on nodes localization in UWB wireless sensor net­ works. In this paper,take the localization algorithm of UWB wireless sensor networks as the main line. The main contents of the paper are as fo11ows:the characteristics of WSN based on IR-UWB;typical localization algorithms of WSN;a localization algo­ rithm called MDS-MAP based on anchor-free and its improved algorithms. The key point of this paper is MDS-MAP of TOA based on IR-UWB. This algo­ rithm adds the mind of extracting guide matrix,and uses the iterative MDS instead of classical MDS. Through the simulation analysis,the localization accuracy of the algo­ rithm decreases with the increase of the network intensity and it is independent of the number and distribution of the anchor nodes. In the same simulation conditions,the localization error and response time of the algorithm are significantly less than the ones of the original algorithm.
