AbstractComposition Abstract Composition ofglutanin subunit plays important role in determinating the processing quality in bread wheat.Distribution of glutenin subunits and the effects of allelic variation processing quality traits,such Mixograph properties were studied to 1 97 representative winter wheat varieties (1ines),and F3 to F5 population from the PH82—2/Yumai 35.Besides,as the most important part, y-type gene specific markers for enhanced discrimination of high—molecular weight glutenin alleles at the G{u-B1 locus were developed.The main results are as follows: 1).Subunit 1 is dominant,with frequency of64.0%;Null is second(32.5%),while 2+accounts for only small percentage(3.5%)in Chinese varieties at Glu-A1 locus.At GIu-B1 locus,subunit 7+9 is found in most Chinese varieties(56.8%)’the second is 7+8(26.4%),14+15(10.7%)is the third,while seldom(3.6%、1.5%、1%)isfoundfor subunit 20、13+16 and 7,respectively.AtGlu-D』locus,subunit 2+12 and 4+12 is popular(63.0%)while the ratio for subunit 5+10 is comparatively Iow(37.0%).it is also found that there have been existed quite high percentage of 1BL/1RS translocation in Chinese wheats(50.8%) 2).On the effect of locus to wheat processing quailty including Mixograph properties,the order is Glu-DIGlu-BIGIu-B3Glu-D3=GIu-A3;in term of the effect of subunit.it is 14+157+9 considering most Mixograpb parameters(with the exception peak width),while it is 14+157+9 if protein content SDS sendimentation volume is used at Glu—BI locus;and at Glu.D』locus.it is 5+10 2+12;and at Glu-A3 locus,it is Glu-A3dGlu-A3a;and at Glu-B3 locus、it is Gm坷j咖Gm.曰3i considering protein contenk SDS sendimentation volume and some Mixograph parameters as peak wjdth,8 min.and width,while it is Glu-B3jGlu—B3d considering mixing time,right ofpeak slope and peak integral;and at Glu·D3 locus,it is Glu-D3c=Glu-D3b,respectively.Lines carrying IBL/1RS translocation show more desirable quailty characteristics such pealc time,right of peak slope and peak integral
