摘要本文旨在通过对民间美术纹样的象征意义的分析，来探究中国人所特有的 摘要 本文旨在通过对民间美术纹样的象征意义的分析，来探究中国人所特有的 思维方式和表达方式，进而阐释民间美术纹样对现代设计的启发与借鉴意义。 首先，中国是个象征文化丰饶的国度，象征文化现象遍及古今，是中国文 化中最为普遍但叉未被充分重视和理解的文化现象之一。它是人类表达心理活动 与精神世界的一种媒介，是借具体的事物表示某种无法言说的抽象概念和思想感 情。象征性的广泛应用正是我国民间美术纹样具有独特意境的奥秘所在。民间美 术纹样作为象征文化的一种载体，其特点是利用象征物和被象征内容在特定经验 条件下的某些联系或类似，从而使被象征内容得以更加强烈、更加集中的表现出 来，并且通过民风习俗，以约定俗成的方式世代相传。其形式是精炼的，但内容 是复杂而丰富的。其次，在民间美术纹样的样式和形态里面包含着中华民族悠久 文化的精髓，是历史文化和哲学的镜子。再次，民间美术纹样发生于原始文化的 渊源，具有明显的本源文化特征，与原始神话和宗教有着千丝万缕的联系。最后， 通过对民间美术纹样的分类、艺术特征、表意方式和象征意义的分析，来探求现 象背后不易被人发现的文化本意，从而说明民间美术纹样的研究、学习和再创造 必将使现代设计充满着无尽的魅力。 关键词：民间美术纹样象征 AbstractThis Abstract This thesis will mainly focus on the symbolic characteristics of the pattern nf the Chinese folk arts．The pattern of the Chinese folk arts reflects the mode of thinking and expressing，and it is of most significant meanings to our modem design and construction． Firstly，symbolism is a commnnly used technique in art creation,and it is most important characteristic of the Chinese folk arts．Symbolism is a medium which humankinds express psychology and cultural life．The mode of the Chinese folk arts embellishment has long history in ancient china which now still plays an important role in Chinese people daily life．It reflects the esthetic tastes nf different ages and the moral values of different people sn that it is deeply impressed and borne the mark of culture．Secondly,the pattern nf Chinese folk arts reflects the essence of Chinese age—old cultural tradition．Thirdly,the origin nf pattern of Chinese folk arts is the primary reli百on，myth and folldore．Fourthly,the pattern nf Chinese fou(arts may set free rnnre energy in still moment，obviously it is in agreement with the artistic form which the modern design tries to seek．Sn in the course nf the mndern design，it is a very effective device to borrow some traditinnal modes with symbolic meanings to convey certain taste，or certain emotion as to reflect the spirit and the natinnality of certain country or area． Key words： Folk arts Pa仕ern Symbo
