The source audio of this report came from the speech. And after the practice, the author transcribed the audio content into text. On the basis of the analysis of the text, the author obtained some precious experiences, such as the understanding of the speaker’s speech habits would bring some benefits to the interpretation practice. At the same time, the author also found some weaknesses during the interpretation practice, for example, the author couldn’t interpret the words with Chinese characteristics correctly and flexibly. This report mainly includes five parts as follows: the first chapter introduced the background of this task. The second chapter contained the preparation and progress of the task. In the third chapter the author talked about the Linguistic Adaptation Theory and the application of this theory in interpretation. Chapter four analyzed the typical examples of the speech. In this part, all the analyses are guided by some interpretation strategies and the Linguistic Adaptation
