Technology Service Preface The structure, usage and maintenance technology of automobile are so complex that producers or their dealers must provide consumers enough services in order to user’s vehicles keeping good technical conditions. Since enterprises have similar abilities in production, scientific and technical development, quality and cost control,after service or technical supporting is becoming the focus of enterprise competition. In this chapter, we focus on 4 parts: ●1. The concept of technology service ●2. Main jobs of technology service ●3. Principles of technology service ●4. Organizations of technology service 1 The concept of technology service it means service including maintenances, detection and diagnoses, conversion furnishing and decoration, etc. Those jobs might be accomplished before/after selling, or during a vehicle is being delivered or used. Of course, these jobs are also included such as technical training, cosmetology, technique materials, operational organizations and administration. ●2.1 Technical training ● 2. 2 Quality guarantee and product warranty ● 2. 3 Service business of dealers and service station ● 2. 4 Fittings and spare parts supplies 2.1 technical training ● technical guidance, technical consultation, technical demonstration. Training is mainly faced to dealers, occasionally to consumers. The contents of training include new products, new automotive structures, new applicable techniques, company’s policies and management regulations, special business such as information and financing. 2.2 quality guarantee and product warranty ●researching on quality guarantee criterion, accepting and handling user’s claim for compensation, identifying product quality failures, doing quality faults statistics and back-feeding quality information.
