曲阜 曲阜师范大学硕士学位论文 PAGE PAGE iii Abstract The paper is divided into two chapters.The first chapter is concerned with the Neumann boundary problem for a class of fourth order nonlinear wave equation, and we prove the existence and uniqueness of global solution for the problem by means of the Galerkin method, ? ?? utt ? uxx ? uxxt ? uxxtt = f (ut), (0 ≤ x ≤ 1, 0 ≤ t ≤ T ), ? ? u(x, 0) = u0(x), ut(x, 0) = u1(x), (0 ≤ x ≤ 1), ? ?? ux(x, t)|x=0 = ux(x, t)|x=1 = 0. This chapter is divided into four sections. In the first section, we introduce the physical meaning of the equation and the present situation of the issue. In the second section, we conduct a priori estimate about the approximate solution of the problem by the Galerkin approximation. In the third section, we prove the existence of the solution to the problem (1.1) ? (1.3). In the forth section, we prove the uniqueness of the solution. In the fifth section, we summarize the full text. We study the asymptotic behavior of the solution to the problem in the second chapter, ? ku ? In the second section, we transform the equations into radial equation, given a preparatory theorem as preparation for the later proved. In the third section, we prove the asymptotic behavior of the equation. In the forth section, we summarize the full text .
