ABSTRACTThe ABSTRACT The image of the sun or light is an important subject in the poet metaphor system．To concentrate on the image of the sun can make US know the changes of the times and its culture better．Misty Poets become a special phenomenon in the history of Contemporary Chinese Poetry because the poets awoke up in the nightmare of“Cultural Revolution’ earlier and reacted against dominant ideology by writing poems effectively．To subvert and rebel the red sun which always means Mao Zedong，made them gained great achievement and become a milestone in the history of Contemporary Chinese Poetry．However,because the deep influence of binary oppositions，we can sti ll see the trail of that time in their poems．In other words，Misty Poets expressed their defiance to the red sun effectively,but the meaning of the sun actually had no change， That means，They didn’t construct a new sun in their poems．This question was resolved by the post-misty poets eventuallg This paper will elaborates on this problem from four parts：‘‘the changing process of the image of the sun in Modem Chinese Literature”， “Misty Poets deconstructed the red sun，’’Misty Poets tried to reconstruct a new sun’’and“the Post—Misty Poets reconstructed the new sun successfully’． In the first part，this paper will introduce the changing process of the image image of the sun in Modem Chinese Literature．In the early 20th century, Nietzsche’S sun spirit was leamed by people with lofty ideals．then Chinese writers put the sun spirit into their own poems，Guo Moruo is the leading figure．after the People’S Republic of China founded，the worship of the sun was emphasized intensively,at last the emotion became the cult of personality to Mao Zedong in the time of“Cultural Revolution． In the second part，this paper will analyze how Misty Poets deconstructed the red sun from the nature sun(including these properties： light，hot，rise in the east and set in the west and the only one in the world) and the red sun(relating to three
