1 11‘ A1· ABSTRACTTaekwondo ABSTRACT Taekwondo is an old and competitiVe sport Originated in Korean Peninsula．The same as Eastem manial arts，Taekwondo which is with strong ethnic characteristics and tI．aditional spirit is an irnportant part of tramtional cultures．Taekwondo Consists of hand and feet attacl(s，defense， aIld physical and mental cultiVation methods．Through physical a11d mental practice，Taekwondo can promote physical fitness and cultiVate perfect personality．Taekwondo is a sport progressing with times and of great Value．SettiIlg up this course will not only help the youm ke印 mental and physical health，but also help to improVe their inte印ersonal skills，imagination，and ability to cooperate．It can also help stlldents deVelop their own culmres，moralities and artistic accomplishments． By searChing of academic joumals of Sports Network literature，the author found that a铲eat number of literatures are related to competitiVe selection of Tae Kwon Do，sports injuries and biochemical indicators of research．HoweVer，studies of s Feasibility of setting up the course of Tae Kwon DO in School and DeVelopment Strategies are not many．Young students of china haVe a lot of interests in leaming Taekwondo．So，the author chose this topic． This essay was carried out through documentaq，questionnaire， statistics and other methods． The author combined characteristics of taekwondo，its taekwondo，its r01e aIld other aspects，referring to refo册ation of sports in higll school，and analyzed feasibility of Tae Kwon Do in schools to propose some suggestlons． The result suggests that only a sman mlmber of schools opened this course．However，a large number of hi曲school咖dents are interested in t11is spo丸Taekwondo has a high fitness Value；it is beneficial for students’Inoral education，cultiVating of charaCterS，aIld to iInproVe their psychological developments so as to promote their all roulld development． TaekwondO not only makes stLIdents achieVe physical fitness，stdVes to regulate the pressure，r
