摘要20世纪60年代以来，受认知学习理论的影响，人们开始重视以学生为主体 摘要 20世纪60年代以来，受认知学习理论的影响，人们开始重视以学生为主体 的学习过程的研究。进入70年代，西方学界兴起了研究语言学习策略的热潮。 中国在近二十年间也开始了对英语学习策略的研究。本文首先回顾了语言学习策 略研究的发展历史，就英语学习策略领域中的一些基本术语和概念作了区分界 定，便于实证研究。然后运用定量和定性研究的方法，分析总结了中国非英语专 业的学习者在英语学习策略使用上的情况，特别是善学者与不善学者在阅读策略 使用上的不同，以及这些策略使用与成绩之间的关系。研究结果发现，善学者与 不善学者就阅读策略使用频率上差异并不明显，然而，两者之间在策略使用的质 量上存有显著差异：前者更善于有选择、高效率地使用这些策略。最后进行的阅 读策略培训也验证：策略本身并不具有成功策略与不成功策略之分。不善学者通 过培训也可以学会新的策略，最终也会象善学者那样有意谚{地选择策略，提高策 略使用效率。之后针对“推论”这一具体策略的培训取得了成功，这一结果显示 了策略的有效使用是可以培养的，对于英语语言的教与学有积极意义。 关键词：英语学习策略，善学者与不善学者， 策略的有效使用，英语阅读策略培{J【 AbstractSince Abstract Since 1960s，under the influence ofcognitive learning theories，much importance has been attached to the learner-oriented learning process．1 970s witnessed large numbers of learner strategy researches in the West．During the last 20 years，the strategy research has spread to China．This paper first reviewed the literature of English language learning strategies so as to clarify the basic concepts in the field of language learning strategies．Then it presented the results of a study designed to examine learning strategies used by non-English majors in improving English language proficiency．Specifically，it layed emphasis on the differences in reading strategies used by successful and unsuccessful learners．The findings indicated that， quite different from our intuition and the resuks of some previous researches， unsuccessful learners were not necessarily inactive strategy—users．Instead，some of them even used many of the strategies as successful learners did．Though some successful learners tended to use fewer learning strategies，they could use them more effectively once used．Finally，an 8-week training course on reading was performed mad its findings were further testified：the disparity between successful and unsuccessful students lied more in the quality of strategy use．Besides，as to the training course aiming at the use of inferencing strategy，it’s believed that it was very necessary to weave the training of L2 strategy
